Giancarlo Morbidelli
The Morbidelli factory had been founded in Pesaro, Italy by Giancarlo Morbidelli in the aftermath of WW2. Morbidelli's business was woodworking machinery, which provided him with the means to finance his passion for motorcycle racing. Morbidelli made his first foray into Grand Prix racing in 1969, and the company remained active in GPs until the 1980s, winning the 125cc World Championship four times and the 250cc category once.
